Stonesmith Garden Vessels are inspired by trough gardening which originated in England in the early part of the 20th century. The original stone planters were water and feed troughs discarded by farmers. Gardeners found that these containers provided a healthy environment as well as a wonderful way to showcase their hard to grow alpine plants.

Stonesmith Garden Vessels has developed an extensive product line with the look and feel of these old stone planters. Artistry and 21st century technology are combined with the introduction of Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) in our product line. These specially designed fountains, containers, columns, bird baths, bird houses, benches, and ornaments will yield superior strength for years to come.
